Hey guys, its that time again for our weekly Mash Up series. This series is a list of great articles I have read over the last week or so and I share them here. Generally these lists have articles for everyone. You can usually find a great listing of design related articles. But I also share articles about SEO, blogging, making money online, social media, new media, photography, and inspiration articles.

But this week, I decided to do it a little different and stick to only one topic. This week’s mash up is all about WordPress. I found all of these great articles on a new social bookmarking site called WordPress Junkies.  This new site is a WordPress only social community. They even have a new blog that shares news, tips, tricks, hacks, and reviews of WordPress themes and plugins.

I have already written two articles there and have plans of doing a weekly article there and so can you. The WordPress Junkie Blog is open to guest articles if it is WordPress only articles. So if you want to write about WordPress or you are looking for something special for WordPress, then you need to check out Wordpres Junkies!

Now for the WordPress Articles!

“As time goes on, you should optimize your WordPress database tables as all operations are performed on your WordPress tables which are used to store your blog posts and other data. To keep your database running smoothly, you should optimize your WordPress database on a pre-defined frequency.”

Is Your WordPress Website Distributing Malware in Google Image Search?
“It turns out that thousands of hacked sites are infecting Google image search results with images redirecting to Fake AV sites. And, unfortunately for you and for me, WordPress sites are a prime target for this kind of attack. A PHP injection into a WordPress site can generate spammy websites, hijack Google Image SERPs and result in your WordPress website tossing unsuspecting Google Image searchers to a FakeAV site.”
