Learn How You Can Avoid Paying for Hootsuite Pro About a month ago I wrote an article about Hootsuite Pro and what Hootsuite users who want stick with the Free version but still needs features of the pro version. In that article I mentioned different services that we can use that will do the same things as Hootsuite, but you have to use several different services to do all things that the pro version can.

Most long time users of Hootsuite who have been using all of the features offered by Hootsuite and loving it but, about a month ago, they put a lot of these great features to limited use or made them for pro users only. But I have a way around those pro features. But, it does take time to set up and you have to have multiple services to get your lost Hootsuite services covered by other services. I do recommend, if you can afford to pay the monthly fee for their services, then you should upgrade. It so much easier and less time consuming if you only have one or two places to update and check your social media streams.

In the article I go into detail about using services such as TwitterFeed and Twaitter to automatically retweet your most trusted bloggers and friend’s websites latest post using their RSS feed. I even go into detail about ping.fm spread your social status’ across the social media networks. Also, I go into detail in what you can do for the features such as using URL shorteners, analytics,  follow management, and ways go get more Tweets and followers.

NOTE: Follow management services and getting more tweets and followers are not part of Hootsuite.

Final Thoughts

Overall these work arounds to avoid paying for Hootsuite Pro works great, but its time consuming setting them up. But, once you have them setup, you shouldn’t have to go back into those services. If you have to go back into those services, you will have to remember your username and passwords and where everything is stored…
