Wow, it was another busy month. Between work, projects, school and family visiting for the holidays, the month went by fast. Its little a late but I thought I would go ahead and post another “best of Photoshop tutorial collection” for last month.

November was a great a month for Photoshop tutorials. I found there was new tutorials posted almost everyday and all of them were good ones. Instead of sharing all of them like other articles have done, I will share with you what I consider to be the best Photoshop tutorials of November.

1. Easy Casino Style Sign in Photoshop

This tutorial creates a nice light effect using basic filters, layer styles, blend modes, along with stock photos to create a casino style design in PhotoShop.  This tutorial is not to hard to accomplish but you do have to be patient because it is a detailed design project. The author (Fabio Sasso) says the whole design shouldn’t take more than 45 minutes. Because of all the little details you have to add, This tutorial good for advanced beginners.

2. Advanced Masking Part 2

This tutorial is the second part of a series on advanced masking by Javier of Designer Freelance and its good one to know. The image used for this tutorial is an extraction nightmare. When I looked at the woman, I dreaded this tutorial. Why is this image a nightmare? It’s the model. She has blond air and she against a busy background that has color that is close to the model’s hair color. In this tutorial, Javier goes through the steps of masking using calculations along with curves and contrast. This tutorial is for advanced users. Masking and extraction can be difficult. So if you are new to these techniques this tutorial might be a little difficult.

3. How to Remove Objects from an Image

I consider removing objects from an image as an important part of graphic design and image editing. As a designer or a blogger using your own images, you may have an image that is almost perfect but its got that random person or object that ruins it for your project. Designers will use PhotoShop to edit out unwanted objects. And Javier, once again, gives us another great tutorial on how he goes about removing objects from an image. This tutorial is for advanced users. Once a beginner learns the basics, they should learn how to remove objects from an image. The tutorial an easy one, if you know how the basic PhotoShop tools work, then you should be able to complete this tutorial successfully.

4. Roses Bouquet Splash Effect

Create a Nature Inspired Photo Manipulation in Photoshop This is a large tutorial by Alfoart Graphic & Web Design. Its a tutorial that teaches you how to create a blurred, bokeh effect background and a splash effect on a rose bouquet. This tutorial uses milk splashes, filters and layer styles to create the desired effect. If you are a wedding photographer, this might come in handy and give you something special to offer your clients. This tutorial was writen for us to easily to understand, but its for advanced users.

5. Create a Nature Inspired Photo Manipulation in Photoshop

This tutorial combines a mixture of stock photos and textures to create this image. This project has a lot of good techniques being taught. If you are not into this type of design work, this tutorial will help you perfect the different skills you may need in future projects. This tutorial is for advanced users and should take about an hour to complete.

6. Create a Spectacular Grass Text Effect in Photoshop

This is an older tutorial but it was released in November and it hasn’t been around in a while. The tutorial is has three parts to it, you will create a textured background, create the text, and then final effects. This is another tutorial that will teach several different things you can do and uses a variety tools in Photoshop. This tutorial is another advanced tutorial.

7. Quick Tip: Create Liquid Filled Glass Text in Photoshop

This a beginner tutorial and very easy to complete. The tutorial uses layers and several effects to create a liquid filled font design. If you are new to PhotoShop, I would definitely give this tutorial a try. Should only take about 30 minutes to complete.

8. Create Super Glossy 3D Typography in Illustrator and Photoshop

This tutorial is all about typography. In the design world 3D effects are popular and you can see them in many advertisement and graphic design projects. This tutorial is for advanced users and you need to know Adobe Illustrator as well.

9. Easy iOS Style Wallpaper in Photoshop

Create a Nature Inspired Photo Manipulation in Photoshop This is an easy tutorial created by Fabio Sasso. Its a textured linen effect wallpaper. This texture effect would also work in your design work as well. It works as a repeating pattern. This tutorial is very easy to do, and shouldn’t take to long. This tutorial is for advanced users, but a beginner level could  this tutorial if they are comfortable using PhotoShop and know how to use the PhotoShop tools.

10. Modern 3D Text Effect

Create a Nature Inspired Photo Manipulation in Photoshop This another tutorial about creating 3D typography. This tutorial uses both PhotoShop and Illustrator to complete this project. I rate this tutorial as an advance tutorial and you will also a working knowledge of Illustrator to successfully complete this design project.

11. Create A Bokeh Effect with PhotoShop

Create a Nature Inspired Photo Manipulation in Photoshop I created this tutorial after I found an easy way to create a bokeh effect. I got my bokeh technique from several different of my favorite designers. This is a very easy tutorial and once you get good at it, it shouldn’t take you but 20 minutes to complete it. This is an advanced tutorial but more advanced beginners should be able to do this tutorial.

Final Thoughts

There were a lot of good tutorials created last month and there a lot of articles listing all these great articles. Once again, I decided to share with you just a few of my favorites.   1. No comments? I don’t even use photoshop but loved the way you blurbed each of the tutorials. Bookmarked it on Stumbleupon and on the browser – my brother’s an artist, I’ll make sure he gets a look at this. I know there’s one or two effects he’s despaired of getting that this might help with.
