Hootsuite Adds Google+ Pages to Their Dashboard

Earlier today Hootsuite announced their partnership with Google+ but it’s only for Google+ Pages. That’s the good news, the bad news is, its only for Hootsuite Enterprise users and its limited to select teams. But if you want your team to be part of the tester teams, make sure you already have a Google+ Page and sign up for the trial.

Targeted Publishing to Circles

The great thing about Google+ Pages is, community managers can target certain customers or they can send blanket messages, all by using Google+ Circles. By targeting circles, community managers can create marketing campaigns and send these messages to any circle they want.

What You Can Do with Google+ from the Hootsuite Dashboard

• Manage circles in-dash with add/remove and edit functionality
• Post public updates or to select circles
• Search public posts and updates within your circles
• Pop-up user profiles and company pages
• See recent user activity without leaving the dashboard
• See comments on posts and save to a stream
• View users who +1, share and comment on posts
• Measure results with five Google+ analytic modules in-dash

Final Thoughts

Although I do not have access to the new features and I am not a Hootsuite Enterprise user, I do see the potential and I have been waiting for Hootsuite to add this functionality to their dashboard. From the screenshots it looks great and features help make Google+ even more useful businesses and their customers. I can’t wait for Google+ to open this feature up for personal accounts.
