AT&T dismissed their lawsuit against Verizon on Wednesday December 2nd, but the constant bickering continues. AT&T just released another commercial with Luke Wilson again. Luke Wilson has been in several earlier comericals (Postcards 1 Part 1, Postcards Part 2, Marbles, Trap Door) battling Verizon’s claims for better coverage and services. In the latest ad, Luke Wilson compares ATT&T and Verizon download speads. Hearing these commerials and hearing about them in news whining and complaining, reminds me of little children arguing and running to the grownups at the schoolyard playground when they do not get their way.

As a subscriber of AT&T for the last 4 years, I can tell you that their services are not the best and they are NOT number one in customer service. However, I find that they do have a large coverage area. I do not travel much but when I do, its generally to areas with minum coverage and most companies do not have the services in those areas. In most areas, I have 3G coverage except in the extremely rural areas but then again, Verizon is shotty at best. I prefer voice services with AT&T over Verizon, because I get better clarity and coverage in town. Out of town, thats hard to say, services depend on what local cell services are in the area and if AT&T and Verizon has services. I also find that Verizon voice services tend to break up and break in some of the major areas in Dallas. For about a week I was using a Verizon handset, while my AT&T handset was being replaced. While using the borrowed handset, I kept having dropped calls and unclear calls on major highways or areas that I had crystal clear calls with ATT&T. Then again, my friends and family do not have any issues where they go with Verizon.
