Finally, after trying several different programs, I decided that if that I was ever going to be successful at image processing and photo manipulation, I needed to learn Photoshop since it was what most professional photographers and graphic designers use.<\/p>\n<p>I started reading books such as \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1118123883\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=1118123883&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=evolutdesign-20\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Adobe Photoshop CS6 Bible<\/em><\/a>\u201d and <em>\u201c<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0321827333\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0321827333&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=evolutdesign-20\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Adobe CS6 Classroom in a Book<\/em><\/a><em>\u201d<\/em> to understand how to use Photoshop. Once I had a basic idea of how use Photoshop, I started doing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.evolutionarydesigns.net\/blog\/category\/adobe-photoshop\/\" target=\"_blank\">Photoshop tutorials<\/a> created by Photoshop users in the design communities. Finally, I decided to take a few Photoshop classes at the local community college to get a jump on Photoshop.<\/p>\n<p>Once I started understanding and using Photoshop, I realized how valuable a tool it is. I found that I use this tool almost every day, if I\u2019m not using Photoshop, I\u2019m using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/s\/?_encoding=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;field-keywords=adobe%20lightroom&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;rh=n%3A229534%2Ck%3Aadobe%20lightroom&amp;tag=evolutdesign-20&amp;url=search-alias%3Dsoftware\" target=\"_blank\">Adobe Lightroom<\/a>. Photoshop\/Lightroom isn\u2019t just for photographers and image processors. Its for anyone who wants to create better images. Everyone from bloggers to those that loves recording life. The guide is an older guide but, the basics that the guide covers, work with any version of Photoshop you are using.<\/p>\n<p>Part 2 has over 30 illustrated pages that covers topics on how to\u2026<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Open<\/strong> files in Photoshop<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cut out<\/strong> items, or remove the background<\/li>\n<li><strong>Whiten<\/strong> teeth with the dodge tool<\/li>\n<li>Working with<strong> gradients<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Outer <strong>glow<\/strong>, inner glow and color overlay<\/li>\n<li>Render <strong>cloud<\/strong> effects<\/li>\n<li>Changing<strong> Hue\/Saturation<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Adding a <strong>fake tattoo<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Creating <strong>custom shapes<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Make an image <strong>black and white<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Create a water-like image <strong>reflection<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Align<\/strong> an object to the ideal center<\/li>\n<li>Using the<strong> liquify<\/strong> tool<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This guide is a great way to learn the basics of Photoshop without having to spend much money up front.
