\"hoot5-hdr\"<\/a> Earlier today, while logging into Hootsuite<\/a> , I received an announcement form the creators of Hootsuite announcing that Hootsuite5 was rolled out earlier this morning! So far, I love it.<\/p>\n

What this Means For Hootsuite Users<\/h1>\n

Hootsuite developers made huge changes the Twitter<\/a> client. They started with a revamping the HTML5<\/a> user interface. Hootuiste made the change to HTML5 so they can release features such as, geo-search and drag & drop<\/a>, and improve the performance of quicker tabs and streams. The developers\u00a0 also made changes to geo – located search, native Twitter ReTweets, integrated Google Analytics, and added several other options. What is Geo \u2013 Search?<\/h1>\n

With the implementation of HTML5, Hootsuite is integrated with geo \u2013 location information<\/a> sent by users that have this feature activated through their Twitter account. With this feature, a user can now narrow their search results to messages sent from their area (wherever they are). Using feature can you learn about resources that are available to you and it can even help you find new clients and followers.<\/p>\n

Hootsuite Also Added Auto-ReTweets<\/h1>\n

While checking out the settings I noticed Hootsuite added to Settings >>> Preferences >>> Use Twitter Web Retweets.<\/strong> After seeing this new check box, I decided to check this out. I found that with the check box checked, Then go and click on the retweet button a user\u2019s status update, it will give a popup box asking if you want to retweet the message. If you say yes it will automatically send the tweet out without giving you the option to modify it. If its unchecked it will allow you modify the RT if you want to. Regular users of Hootsuite,\u00a0 might want tocheck and see if this is already set (mine was) and test this out. If you do not have it checked, then check it, save it and thin go and test it. If its not working, then go back into the settings and select the option, then save it, then go back in and unselect it, I\u00a0 had to do this in order for the settings to start working. For me, I like to change up the RTs, so I turned this feature off.<\/p>\n

Goggle Analytics Now Integrated into the Dashboard<\/h1>\n

Another cool new feature added to Hootsuite is your Google Analytics account can now be added to Hootsuite in just a few clicks. I like to track my my site(s) stats and I am constantly checking my traffic and making changes to work with my site traffic and build more traffic. With this feature, I can close a tab on Google Chrome<\/a> and just click on one tab inside of Hootsuite and see my Google Analytic stats. All you need to do use the OAuth<\/a> secure login functionality and then can track your conversion to sales, lead generation, and other other metrics from your Google account using the advanced URL functions.<\/p>\n

Hootsuite Finally Adds Theme Options!<\/h1>\n

Along with all the other features released by Hootsuite, they\u00a0 added two new theme options to choose from. For the longest time, Hootsuite only had one option for themes, while most other clients offered several themes to choose from. Themese or the lack of were a big issue for some Twitter users. But now that shouldn’t be an issue. For me was the layout of the client is great but the colors were boring and just didn\u2019t cut it and I came from clients that offered several themes to choose from. Now, I do not have to complain about the lack of theme options.\u00a0 I am happy to say Hootsuite finally listened to their users and implemented not just one new theme but TWO new ones!<\/p>\n

Although I have not had much time to play with all the new features, so far the new additions rock.
